The Wisconsin women's soccer team has spent the week preparing to host a pair of games at the McClimon Complex this weekend after falling to No. 4 Portland, 2-0, and tying Washington, 1-1, in the Husky Invitational Sept. 3-5.

An exciting schedule awaits the University of Wisconsin wrestling team in 2010-11. The Badgers placed fourth at the 2010 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships, tying for the best finish in school history, and looks to surpass that finish in 2011.

Fresh off his first race for the No. 7-ranked Wisconsin men's cross country team, redshirt freshman Michael Brice has been named Big Ten Co-Runner of the Week, the league announced.

Every day this week leading up to the induction ceremony, one of the seven members of the University of Wisconsin Athletics Hall of Fame class of 2010 will be celebrated. The Hall of Fame induction is Friday, Sept. 10 outside the Camp Randall Memorial Sports Center. The 6 p.m. ceremony is open to the public. Today's celebrant is former football and track and field athlete Dan Lanphear.

Wisconsin named senior goalkeeper Ryan Vint as the team's third captain last week, joining three-time letterwinners Aaron Nichols and Jon Rzepka as tri-captains. The trio of seniors will look to provide veteran leadership to a youthful Badgers team.

Senior goalkeeper Ryan Vint (Plymouth, Minn.) tied his career high with six saves, but the University of Wisconsin men's soccer team fell 1-0 to No. 25 UC Irvine in the final game of the UC Irvine College Classic on Monday night.
