Welcome to Cottage Grove, WI

Cottage Grove is a village in Dane County, in the Madison metro area.  The community was named for a grove of burr oaks growing around a settler's home. 

Cottage Grove has been a strong growing community over the last several years and that trend continues today. At one time, Cottage Grove was a small farming community on the outskirts of Madison, in fact on occasion, you will still see horses and tractors passing through town. Though it has grown from that small farming community, it still maintains that small town feel.  Cottage Grove pride ifself on its excellent school system as well as the many diverse businesses in the area. In addition, Cottage Grove has many family oriented festivals and cultural activities that enhance the experience of living there.
